UVA's Ian Laviano after a goal.
No. 12 Syracuse (2-2, 0-1 Atlantic Coast) lost to No. 13 Virginia (3-2, 1-0), 15-14, in overtime, on Saturday afternoon in the Carrier Dome. After two-straight victories, the Orange blew a late lead, and the Cavaliers stormed back. SU’s defense wasn’t able to stop UVA’s offense, and Syracuse spent the majority of the second half searching for the decisive goal that didn’t come.
See what our beat writers had to say after the loss.
