About 100 people gathered at Friday’s Rose Laying Ceremony to remember the victims of the Pan Am Flight 103 terrorist attack in 1988. This year’s ceremony, held as part of Remembrance Week, marked the 30th anniversary of the tragedy.

Thirty-five Syracuse University students were among the victims killed in the bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland. Each year, 35 current SU students are chosen as Remembrance Scholars in memory of the students who died in 1988.

A convocation was held in Hendricks Chapel after the Rose Laying Ceremony.
