Hair Me Out
Support and celebrate Black-owned businesses at Hair Me Out. The event will highlight the Black community’s creativity, entrepreneurship and passion for self-care. Come browse cuisine, clothing and beauty treatments. This event is free for all students.

When: Monday from noon to 2 p.m.
Where: Schine Student Center, The Underground

Compliments and Cookies
If you’re craving a sweet treat and some words of encouragement, then this is the perfect event for you. Write a compliment to a stranger and receive a compliment, and a cookie, in exchange. This event is free, but supplies are on a first come, first served basis. RSVP here.

When: Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Where: Schine Student Center, atrium

“Wicked”
University Union is continuing its Late Night Movie series with “Wicked.” The adaptation of the hit Broadway musical was a box office hit and garnered many Oscar nominations. The event is free and a valid Syracuse University ID is required to attend. Entry is on a first come, first served basis.

When: Thursday from 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Huntington Beard Crouse Hall, Gifford Auditorium

What’s the Stitch?
Are you a knitting enthusiast? At What’s the Stitch, members of SU and SUNY ESF’s LGBTQ+ communities can knit, crochet, sew and enjoy other crafting activities. RSVP here.

The Hidden Costs: Social & Environmental Impacts of Informal & Illegal Mining in Peru
Join SU’s Program on Latin America and the Caribbean for a free documentary screening and hybrid panel led by the de Sardon-Glass Fellows. The event’s featured film, “River of Gold,” examines the destruction of the Amazon rainforest and its impact on Peru’s environment and society. The event is free and open to the public.
